SOFTBALL: Pahrump’s Pryor does it all in win over Cheyenne

Amanda Pryor tossed a seven-hitter and tripled, doubled and singled on Friday to help Pahrump Valley’s softball team to a 6-4 win over visiting Cheyenne.

Amaya Mendoza added three singles, and Leanne Kaiwi and Jordan Egan each had two hits for the Trojans, who led 6-0 after two innings.

Sabrina Stafford doubled twice, and Destiny Gain doubled and singled for the Desert Shields.

Legacy 9, Las Vegas 5 — At Las Vegas, Alyssa Sotelo was 3-for-3 with a triple, a double, two runs and three RBIs to lead the Longhorns by the Wildcats.

Haley Pederson was 2-for-4, and Eliza Rodriguez was 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Legacy.

Serina Ramirez went 3-for-4 for Las Vegas.

Silverado 17, Cimarron-Memorial 5 — At Cimarron, Alessandra Ponce was 5-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and six RBIs, and Sarah Ford went 2-for-5 with a grand slam as the Skyhawks downed the Spartans in five innings.

Korina Pindel was 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI, and Jessica Chamberlain and Taryn Southerland both homered for Silverado.

Cierra Davis was 3-for-3 with a home run, and Rebecca Johnson went 2-for-4 with a home run for Cimarron.

Durango 19, Rancho 2 — At Durango, Alia Armstrong was 3-for-3 with a grand slam and seven RBIs as the Trailblazers routed the Rams in five innings.

Trinity Valentine tossed a three-hitter and had a grand slam and five RBIs, and Mallory Lawson was 2-for-4 with a double for Durango, which scored nine runs in the fourth inning.

Faith Lutheran 15, Mojave 1 — At Faith Lutheran, Mosie Foley tossed a five-inning three-hitter and was 3-for-4 with three RBIs to lead the Crusaders by the Rattlers.

Samantha Jack went 2-for-4 with a home run and five RBIs, and Cheyenne Kidd was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Faith Lutheran, which exploded for nine runs in the third inning.

Claire Peck was 2-for-2 with an RBI, and Haley Jack went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Crusaders.

Anastasia Evans was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI for Mojave.

Valley 13, Eldorado 3 — At Eldorado, Kristina Manthei was 3-for-4 with two doubles, three runs and two RBIs to help the Vikings down the Sundevils in five innings.

Gabriela Morales and Shannon Williams each went 2-for-3 with a double for Valley, which broke a 1-1 tie with six runs in the top of the third inning.

Dayzhell Wilson was 1-for-2 with an RBI for Eldorado.

Sierra Vista 18, Western 1 — At Sierra Vista, Morgan Hughey was 2-for-3 with an inside-the-park home run, a double and five RBIs as the Mountain Lions routed the Warriors in five innings.

Kalei Watkins and Brendee Ford each went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs for Sierra Vista, which scored seven runs in the second inning.

Lita Maeoki hit a solo home run for Western.

Spring Valley 19, Clark 0 — At Clark, Mariah Ward tossed a five-inning one-hitter and went 4-for-4 with a triple as the Grizzlies blitzed the Chargers.

Marlena Adras was 3-for-4 with a triple, and Kelsey Adams was 3-for-4 for Spring Valley, which scored 11 runs in the first inning.

Boulder City 17, Bonanza 0 — At Boulder City, Charlene Masterson tossed a five-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts and was 3-for-4 with a double to lead the Eagles past the Bengals.

Jerra Hinson was 2-for-4 with three RBIs, and Jordan Moorhead went 2-for-4 for Boulder City, which led 8-0 after the second inning.

Lincoln County 25-22, The Meadows 0-7 — At The Meadows, Josie Burgess tossed a five-inning two-hitter in the opener as the Lynx rolled to a sweep of the Mustangs.

Burgess was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Aspen Wilkin homered and drove in three runs in the first game.

In the nightcap, Burgess was 2-for-3 with a homer.

Missy Siegel was 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs in the second game for The Meadows.

Mountain View 11-13, Laughlin 1-8 — At Laughlin, Savannah Alley tossed a five-inning five-hitter in the opener and was the winning pitcher in the nightcap as the Saints swept the Cougars.

Rose Adkins and Elle Germany each doubled and drove in two runs in the second game for Mountain View.

Pahranagat Valley 15-8, Indian Springs 5-7 — At Alamo, Kaitlyn Davis’ two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning plated Madalyn Taylor with the winning run in the second game as the Panthers swept the Thunderbirds.

Pahranagat Valley trailed 7-5 entering the bottom of the seventh in the nightcap before Jade Jewett started a rally with a one-out infield hit. Madison Harris also singled and took second on a throw. Both runners advanced on a wild pitch to make the score 7-6, and Taylor’s single tied the game.

After Taylor moved to second on a pick-off play, Davis singled into left field to win the game. Harris and Taylor each went 2-for-4 for Pahranagat Valley.

In the opener, Davis tossed a five-inning two-hitter, and Jewett went 3-for-4 for the Panthers.
