SOFTBALL: Cheyenne pounds out 26 hits in victory over Sunrise Mountain

Giovanna Bojorquez went 5-for-5 with a double, three triples, four runs and five RBIs, and Cheyenne’s softball team finished with 26 hits in its four-inning, 27-8 road win over Sunrise Mountain on Monday.

Winning pitcher Madelynn Kennedy was 4-for-5 with a triple and six RBIs for Cheyenne, which led 14-3 after two innings.

Victoria Rosales had a triple for the Desert Shields.

Arbor View 13, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Arbor View, Kayla Rutledge threw a four-hit shutout with seven strikeouts and went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple as the Aggies routed the Spartans in five innings.

Hannah Hickstein went 3-for-3 with two triples, Taylor Beaman tripled, and Bryce Henricksen and Brittany Henricksen both doubled for Arbor View.

Tiarra Del Rosario went 3-for-3 for the Spartans.

Shadow Ridge 11, Faith Lutheran 4 — At Shadow Ridge, Alisha Schultz had a triple and five RBIs to lead the Mustangs past the Crusaders.

Shea Clements had two doubles and a triple, Alexis Toia had a double, and Bailey Pepper had a triple and an RBI for Shadow Ridge, which exploded for six runs in the bottom of the second inning.

Clara Heislen doubled and drove in two runs to lead the Crusaders, and Sophie Foster and Maggie Whipple each doubled.

Palo Verde 16, Legacy 0 — At Palo Verde, Grace Chavez and Makena Martin both went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles as the Panthers rolled over the Longhorns in three innings.

Mackenzie Ryan tripled and had an RBI for the Panthers, Camden Zahn went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Makall Whetten went 2-for-2 and knocked in a run.

Chavez had four RBIs, and Martin had two.

Mojave 12, Western 4 — At Western, the Warriors scored six runs in the fifth inning to run away from the Rattlers.

Jennessa Dunton had a pair of hits for the Warriors.

Pahrump Valley 24, Desert Pines 2 — At Desert Pines, the Trojans exploded for 14 runs in the first inning en route to a victory over the Jaguars.

Jordan Egan had a double for the Trojans.
