ROUNDUP: Splinter fuels Skyhawks in rout of Liberty

Riana Splinter went 3-for-5 with a double and four RBIs Wednesday to help Silverado’s softball team to a 19-7 win at Liberty.

Katie Amaral was 4-for-5 with two RBIs, and Kiki Pindel had a double and two RBIs for the Skyhawks.

Kennedy Courtney went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for the Patriots.

Green Valley 12, Del Sol 1 — At Del Sol, Maggie Manwarren was 3-for-3 with two runs and four stolen bases to lead the Gators past the Dragons.

Brianna Wollard and Cori Sutton each went 2-for-3 for Green Valley, which got a solo home run from Autumn Owens.

Sierra Morales was 2-for-2 for Del Sol.

Coronado 9, Tech 1 — At Tech, winning pitcher Danielle Amato belted two two-run homers to lift the Cougars to a win over the Roadrunners.

Amato allowed only two hits and one run in six innings.

Kiley Harrison and Taylor Woodford each supplied two hits for the Cougars.

Kimmie Rodriguez notched an RBI single for Tech, and losing pitcher Amanda Roark had 14 strikeouts.

Eldorado 7, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Ashley Jarzombek tossed a three-hitter with nine strikeouts as the Sundevils blanked the Cowboys. 

Cheyanne Schindler went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs and an RBI, and Brook Ortiz was 3-for-4 with a run for Eldorado, which got a two-run single from Sabrina Summers.

Las Vegas 9, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, Brooke Booth tossed a five-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks as the Wildcats defeated the Pioneers.

Erin Glidden doubled twice and had two RBIs, and Jasmina Salas smacked a two-run double for Las Vegas.

Ciera Berkemeyer tripled and drove in Canyon Springs’ run.

Valley 17, Sunrise Mountain 13 — At Valley, Zoey Galindo was 2-for-2 with four runs and two RBIs to help the Vikings hold off the Miners.

Galindo walked three times and stole two bases for Valley, which led 16-7 before yielding six runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Stiffany Kitrell tripled for Valley.

Rancho 25, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, McKinzi Vega doubled twice as the Rams blitzed the Jaguars in five innings.

Tori Hafen also had a double for Rancho.

Bishop Gorman 18, Faith Lutheran 8 — At Gorman, Carrie Keller went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and three RBIs, and Bailey Zavala was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs as the Gaels downed the Crusaders in six innings.

Shelby Estacado hit a solo home run for Gorman, which scored nine runs in the bottom of the third after trailing 7-6.

Amanda Young went 2-for-3 with a run scored, and Lauryn Lipe hit a home run for Faith Lutheran.

Arbor View 11, Moapa Valley 1 — At Arbor View, Kristina Billante went 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs as the Aggies routed the Pirates in five innings.

Arbor View’s Letty Valenzuela and Karli Lehr combined on a five-inning two-hitter, and Lehr went 2-for-3 with two runs, a double, a triple and an RBI.

Boulder City 13, Cimarron-Memorial 7 — At Boulder City, the Eagles pounded out 15 hits and grabbed a 13-0 lead after three innings on their way to a win over the Spartans.

Indian Springs 16, Mountain View 0 — At Mountain View, Baylee McCormick went 2-for-2 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and four RBIs as the Thunderbirds blanked the Saints in five innings.

Brandi Bryl tossed a three-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks for Indian Springs, which got two hits and four RBIs from Heather Thormahlen.
