ROUNDUP: Sixth-inning burst helps Mustangs stun Aggies

JoJo Brewer tripled and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the sixth inning Wednesday to help Shadow Ridge’s softball team stun visiting Arbor View, 7-6.

Brewer tripled to lead off the sixth inning in a 5-5 game. After she scored, Danielle Buecker followed with a triple and scored on Danette Daguiar’s double.

The Aggies got one run back on Ashlyn Ames’ RBI double in the seventh, but Ames was left stranded at second when Shadow Ridge pitcher Tana Feiner induced a ground out to end the game.

Buecker went 3-for-4, and Daguiar was 3-for-4 with two doubles for the Mustangs. Krislyn Campos was 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and a triple, and Brewer finished 2-for-3 for Shadow Ridge.

Ames went 3-for-4 to pace Arbor View, which had 14 hits, including eight doubles. Kayla Stephens and Chelsa Baca each went 2-for-3 with two doubles, and Dacia Sykes and Karli Lehr each went 2-for-4 with a double for the Aggies.

Durango 10, Clark 4 — At Durango, Mindy Larson was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Katie Moore went 2-for-4 with two RBIs to lead the Trailblazers past the Chargers.

Dallas Boyce also went 2-for-4 for Durango.

Jezebel Tuitele was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Clark.

Pahrump Valley 11, Western 1 — At Pahrump, Whitney Roderick tossed a five-inning two-hitter and struck out six as the Trojans blitzed the Warriors.

Pahrump made the most of only three hits and took advantage of nine Western errors.

Palo Verde 18, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Melissa Lacro spun a five-inning two-hitter with five strikeouts to help the Panthers shut out the Desert Shields.

Breanna Beatty went 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple, three RBIs and three runs scored for Palo Verde, which pounded out 19 hits.

Centennial 14, Mojave 1 — At Mojave, Lauren Stroman and Lacie Chakos each went 2-for-3 to help the Bulldogs to the five-inning win over the Rattlers.

Kate Rauskin and Stroman combined on a two-hitter.

Desert Oasis 18, Bonanza 4 — At Desert Oasis, Dayanna Gage homered, doubled and drove in four runs, and Taylor Beecham doubled twice and supplied four RBIs to help the Diamondbacks rout the Bengals in five innings.

Emily Heinz tripled twice, Karli Severance went 3-for-4 with a double, and Samantha Caruso went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and four RBIs for Desert Oasis.

Lenzi Cram added a double and two RBIs, and Audrey Blockovich went 2-for-3 for the Diamondbacks.

Megan Rabe went 2-for-3 with two doubles for Bonanza.

Bishop Gorman 16, Sierra Vista 6 — At Gorman, winning pitcher Dayton Yingling tossed a four-hitter and went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs as the Gaels downed the Mountain Lions in five innings.

Carrie Keller was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Machenzie Tucky went 1-for-4 with a home run for Gorman.

Spring Valley 15, Moapa Valley 2 — At Moapa Valley, Jessica Reed was 2-for-2 with a triple, a double and two runs to lead the Grizzles past the Pirates in five innings

Georgi DeLio went 2-for-3 with three runs scored for Spring Valley.

Boulder City 14-24, Virgin Valley 1-0 — At Boudler City, Karlee Koopman tossed a five-inning three-hitter with nine strikeouts in the opener and combined with Amanda Perez to spin a five-inning two-hitter in the nightcap as the Eagles swept the Bulldogs.

Kacey Ochoa went 3-for-3 with four RBIs in the first game.

In the finale, the Eagles scored nine runs in the first inning and led 22-0 after three innings. Jessie Holling went 3-for-3 with an RBI, and Taylor McKeever was 3-for-5 with a double and four RBIs for Boulder City, which got two doubles from Ochoa.

Lincoln County 11, Pahranagat Valley 4 — At Alamo, Kaylee Teel belted a third-inning grand slam and added a double to lead the Lynx past the Panthers.

Lineti Lasike homered and doubled for Pahranagat Valley.
