Roundup: Del Sol outscores Mojave in slugfest

Selena Erickson went 5-for-6 with a double and three RBIs to lead Del Sol’s softball team to a 21-18 road win over Mojave on Friday evening.

Angel Jones went 5-for-6 with a double and two RBIs for the Dragons, who scored eight runs in the first and seventh innings.

Ta’Nyia Zebo went 6-for-6 with a grand slam to lead the Rattlers.

Alexa Castro, Ysabella Morales and Essence McRae each doubled with two RBIs.

Foothill 4, Coronado 3 — At Foothill, Makenzie Andrews had a triple and three RBIs to help the Falcons hold off the Cougars.

Morgan Matsumoto added an RBI for Foothill, which got all four of its runs in the the third inning.

Tatum Spangler doubled for Coronado.

Pahrump Valley 11, Durango 8 — At Pahrump Valley, Taylor Egan and McKayla Bartley each went 3-for-4 as the Trojans took down the Trailblazers.

Trojans’ Amaya Mendoza pitched the whole game and struck out 7 batters to earn the victory. Samantha Riding also hit a double.

Trailblazers’ Alexis Geraldo went 3-for-3 and Keely Thompson went 2-for-2. Trinity Valentine pitched six innings and struck out seven batters.

Centennial 7, Arbor View 0 — At Centennial, starter Amanda Sink threw a complete game shutout for the Bulldogs, allowing three hits while striking out six.

Alyssa Perkins went 2-for-4 for Centennial with 2 RBIs, and Seanna Simpson was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Green Valley 18, Canyon Springs 0 — At Green Valley, Savannah Fabro was 3-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs as the Gators routed the Pioneers in three innings.

Alicia Ortega tripled for the Gators, who scored 11 runs in the first inning and did not allow a hit in the game.

Green Valley’s Hannah Mearideth, Atephany Ahmed, Olivia McClain and Cinthia Garcia each hit a double.

Silverado 15, Eldorado 4 — At Eldorado, Megan Johnson went 4-for-5 with a double, triple, home run and six RBIs to help the Skyhawks pummel the Sundevils.

Anna Tucker and Alezandria Guariglia added two RBIs each for Silverado.

Adriana Romero went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Eldorado.

Basic 20, Valley 2 — At Basic, eight players doubled for the Wolves as they rolled past the Vikings in three innings.

Adalenda Clayton doubled and had two RBIs, Mikayla Berg doubled and drove in a run, and Lauren Powell also doubled and drove in a run.

Shelby Basso, Sanoe Helenhi, Lauren Koshak, Izabelle Morales and Angela Santillanes also doubled. Alyssa Ferguson went 2-for-2 with a two RBIs for the Wolves.

Jordan Stinnett struck out three over two innings to earn the win.

Brandee Whitfield doubled and drove in a run for the Vikings.

Olympian (Calif.) 7, Faith Lutheran 2 — At La Jolla, California, the Crusaders fell to the Eagles in the Duds For Dudes Tournament.

Indian Springs 16, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Avery Aspen had a double and a triple to help the Thunderbirds to a win over the Miners.

Hailey Butler added a pair of double for Indian Springs.

Lincoln County 16-22, Mountain View 1-0 — At Panaca, the Lynx took two from the Saints.

In the first game, Kailey Kelly keyed Lincoln County with a home run and three RBIs.

In the second game, Hannah Bleak had a triple and an RBI and Sadie Sodorborg had three RBIs for the Lynx.

Pahranagat Valley 13, Virgin Valley 1 — At Mesquite, Morgan Harris was 2-for-4 with a triple, three runs and two RBIs as the Panthers beat the Bulldogs in five innings.
