ROUNDUP: Alfaro 5-for-5 as Pioneers romp

Fernanda Alfaro went 5-for-5 with a triple, two doubles and two RBIs Tuesday to help Canyon Springs’ softball team defeat host Desert Pines, 20-8.

Sabriya Brooks added a seventh-inning grand slam for the Pioneers who used an eight-run fourth inning to take an 11-3 lead.

Nicole Lagesse was 4-for-4 with a double for Desert Pines.

Valley 15, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Lorena Villamar tossed a three-hitter over five innings and contributed a single, a double and three RBIs to help the Vikings beat the Rams.

Zoe Galindo had a double, a triple and three RBIs and Mickayla Romero added a double and a single for Valley.

Las Vegas 6, Eldorado 0 — At Las Vegas, Monique Hernandez tossed a two-hitter with seven strikeouts and supplied two hits to help the Wildcats beat the Sundevils.

Las Vegas’ Sabrina Anderson went 3-for-3 with a double.

Desert Oasis 13, Sierra Vista 9 — At Sierra Vista, Lenzi Cram went 3-for-3 with two triples, a double, three runs and two RBIs as the Diamondbacks built a 12-2 lead and held off the Mountain Lions.

Desert Oasis’ Holly O’Hara went 3-for-4 with a triple, a double and two RBIs.

Sierra Vista’s Ashley Krumme was 4-for-4 with four runs, and teammmate Maria Capparelli was 2-for-5 with a triple and three RBIs.

Spring Valley 10, Gorman 7 — At Spring Valley, Jasmine Wilson hit a two-run double in a five-run sixth inning to lead the Grizzlies past the Gaels.

Wilson finished 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and three runs.

Gorman’s Claudia Franco was 3-for-4 with a triple, a home run and five RBIs.

Bonanza 10, Western 0 — At Bonanza, the Bengals scored nine runs in the first inning en route to the win.

Alex Teed was 2-for-2 with a double for the Bengals. Brittany Spencer was 1-for-2 with three RBIs.

Durango 10, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Ashley Hall tossed a one-hitter and went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBIs to lead the Trailblazers past the Trojans.

Hall struck out six and walked three. Pahrump’s lone hit was a sixth-inning double Petra Beighley.

Durango’s Katie Moore was 3-for-4 with three RBIs.

Mountain View 19-19, The Meadows 8-2 — At The Meadows, Valencia Casey tossed a three-hitter and hit two home runs in the first game and Ellie Markwardt smacked two doubles, a triple and a home run in the second game as the Saints swept the Mustangs in a pair of five-inning games.

Henderson International 9, Calvary Chapel 0 — At Henderson International, Lee Harrison threw a no-hitter to lead the Wolverines past the Lions.

Harrison walked three and struck out seven.

Henderson International’s Pam Sakuma (three RBIs) and Alyssa Ayers each had two hits.

Lincoln County 5, Pahranagat Valley 3 — At Alamo, Beth Pearson went 2-for-3 with a triple, and the Lynx broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the seventh inning to defeat the host Panthers.

Palo Verde’s Roxie Lasike was 3-for-3, and teammate Mary Higbee went 2-for-4 with a double.
