Eisen resigns as Arbor View coach

Arbor View softball coach Hilary Eisen resigned Wednesday, according to athletic administrator Greg Wolfram.
Eisen was in her third season as the Aggies’ coach with a career record of 45-31. The Aggies, who defeated Faith Lutheran 12-0 on Tuesday, are 9-6 overall and tied for fifth in the Northwest League with a 2-4 mark in Northwest League play.
“There were just some issues family-wise that came up in the last two weeks,” Wolfram said. “It was a mutual thing, but anything final has been within the last 24 hours.
“She just felt it was time to step down. She has turned the program around. If she gets the issues resolved, we would welcome her back.”
Wolfram said Eisen would continue to teach physical education at Arbor View.
Sam Toomer, who was Arbor View’s head coach in 2007-08, has taken over for Eisen. The Aggies host Mojave on Thursday.
Eisen did not return a phone message seeking comment.
Toomer declined comment.
