Returning letter winners (starters): Eight (Five)

Top players: OF Alex Battest (Sr.), P/SS Danielle Amato (Jr.), 2B Haley Harrison (Jr.), C/OF Kiley Harrison (So.)

Outlook: The Cougars bring back five starters from a team that won the Sunrise Region title and advanced to the Class 4A state title game last season.

Still, the team is young with only three seniors and five freshmen on the roster.

"We will be looking to build on last year's success," Krueger said.
