Top players: C Vanessa Sanders (Sr.), IF Megan Ingram (Sr.)

Outlook: The Desert Shields should greatly benefit from realignment, getting out of what was a stacked Northwest League and into a spot where they'll be much more able to find success.

Sanders can provide plenty of offense, along with a steadying influence behind the plate.

"There is a lot of veteran returners and some key newbies this year," said Hernandez. "Cheyenne will me competitive this season."
