Outlook: With eight starters back, the pieces are in place for the Pioneers to show more improvement.

"We're still growing our program and looking to improve on our overall record," Arquette said. "We have struggled with winning because of a bad inning or two, but we're capable of winning games.

"The focus this year is on skill development that will help us eliminate costly errors."
