Returning letter winners (starters): Eight (five)

Top players: P/IF Sharon Vernaz (So.), IF/OF Sofia Argumaniz (So.), IF Alyssa Clara (Jr.)

Outlook: The Chargers return eight letter winners and could have the right ingredients to turn the corner and make a push toward a playoff berth.

Vernaz (.667 average) hopes to continue her hot hitting from last year. Argumaniz (.227 average) and Clara (.444 on-base percentage) should provide some run-scoring opportunities for Clark.

“This is the best, most disciplined varsity squad out of Clark in many years,” Malcolm said. “These girls are talented, excited and eager to start putting Clark back into position as a winning and relevant softball program.”
