ROUNDUP: Varner’s three goals rally Gators past host Wolves

Kayla Varner scored three goals Friday as Green Valley’s girls soccer team erased a 2-1 halftime deficit and collected a 5-3 win at Basic.

Cayla Imahara and Alyssa Rodriguez each added a goal for the Gators.

Ashley Munson scored twice, and Katie Fralix added a goal for the Wolves.

Coronado 4, Foothill 0 — At Foothill, Breanna McCallum scored twice to lead the Cougars past the Falcons.

Gabriella Morris and Kathleen Cuevas each had a goal and an assist for Coronado.

Kaitlyn Fahrner and Cristina Burgess combined to earn the shutout.

Silverado 0, Tech 0 — At Tech, the Skyhawks and Roadrunners played to a scoreless draw.

Silverado’s Katelyn Comeno and Tech’s Makala Lemley each registered a shutout.

Liberty 4, Del Sol 0 — At Liberty, Alexia Gonzalez notched two goals, and Paige Terlizzi supplied two assists as the Patriots rolled past the Dragons.

Sierra Sorensen and Sunshine Soriano also scored for Liberty.

Shelby Littlefield was in goal for the shutout.

Las Vegas 4, Valley 1 — At Valley, Hadley Wiener scored two goals, and Sarah Cook added two assists as the Wildcats downed the Vikings.

Mariel Hundley and Whitney Jauregui also scored for Las Vegas.

Alexis Richards scored Valley’s goal.

Rancho 2, Eldorado 1 — At Rancho, Chanel Eliason and Lucinda Luevanos each had a goal and an assist to help the Rams build a 2-0 lead and beat the Sundevils.

Brandy Sanchez scored for Eldorado.

Canyon Springs 2, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Alecs Cook and Rosa Guerrero each tallied one goal to lift the Pioneers past the Miners.

Haleigh Arnold was in goal for the shutout.

Desert Pines 4, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Vanessa Gomez scored four goals to power the Jaguars past the Cowboys.

Ivy Urbano made six saves to earn the shutout.
