Roundup: Shadow Ridge tops Coronado on PKs to win tourney

Shadow Ridge’s girls soccer team edged Coronado 4-3 on penalty kicks to win the Spring Creek tournament in Elko on Saturday.
The game was tied 2-2 after regulation.
Adriana Mendez and Kaitlyn Banks each had a goal for the Mustangs. Shadow Ridge goalkeeper Tieg Simmons made 11 saves.
Shadow Ridge 4, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Elko, Adriana Mendez scored twice to help the Mustangs beat the Trojans in the Spring Creek Tournament.
Kaitlyn Banks and Jade Bock each added a goal for Shadow Ridge. Goalkeepers Tieg Simmons and Cassandra Tolton each made two saves to combine on the shutout.
