Roundup: Second-half goals give Spring Valley home win

Spring Valley’s girls soccer team scored a pair of second-half goals Monday to earn a 2-1 home victory over Basic.

Haley Pierce had a goal and an assist, and Amanda Meyers scored one goal for the Grizzlies.

Jennifer Castro scored for the Wolves.

Desert Oasis 1, Green Valley 1 — At Green Valley, the Diamondbacks and Gators played to a draw.

Taylor Youniacutt scored for Green Valley, and Jade Ogden scored Desert Oasis’ goal.

Liberty 2, Tech 1 — At Liberty, Mia Edwards scored both goals as the Patriots edged the Roadrunners.

Jordyn McCollum had an assist for Liberty.

Chloe Ramirez scored for Tech.

Silverado 3, Durango 1 — At Silverado, Sydni Bishop had a goal and an assist to lead the Skyhawks over the Trailblazers.

Jessica Guzman and Kayla Meyer each added a goal for Silverado, and teammate Kristyn Lommason had two assists.

Tatiana Calicich had Durango’s goal.

Pahrump Valley 6, Del Sol 0 — At Pahrump, six Trojans scored as they defeated the Dragons.

Kayle Mendoza, Halie Souza, Madelyn Souza, Kiara Ramos, Kimberly Ramos, and Makayla Gent each scored one goal. Mendoza added two assists. Goalkeeper Hannah McElheny made four saves in the shutout.

Bishop Gorman 8. Clark 0 — At Clark, Gianna Gourley netted three goals as the Gaels ran away from the Chargers.

Jenna Madrid scored twice for the Gaels, and Mia DiOrio had a goal and an assist for Gorman. Taylor Cox and Cambrie Arboreen each scored once, and Marissa Garcia had four assists for the Gaels.

Maris Findlay had the shutout.

Western 10, Mojave 1 — At Western, Geraldi Gomez and Devany Marroquin each scored four goals as the Warriors rolled past the Rattlers.

Western’s Caro Acosta and Angelica Sanchez each had a goal and two assists, and Gisell Rodriguez had four assists for the Warriors.

Genevieve Mendez scored for Mojave.
