ROUNDUP: Sama lifts Sundevils past Wildcats, to Northeast title

Alexis Sama had a goal and an assist to lift Eldorado’s girls soccer team to a 2-0 home win over Las Vegas on Tuesday.

The win, coupled with a tie by second-place Valley, clinched the Northeast League title for the Sundevils.

Maria Arias added a goal for the Sundevils.

Nias Olaiz made 10 saves to earn the shutout.

Foothill 1, Tech 0 — At Foothill, Toni Trujillo scored in the 34th minute and the Falcons held on to defeat the Roadrunners.

Kim Callen made eight saves to post the shutout.

Green Valley 1, Coroando 1 — At Coronado, Kim Adams scored midway through the second half to help the Gators rally for a tie with the Cougars.

Aubrey Madden scored a first-half goal for Coronado.

Rancho 2, Valley 2 — At Valley, the visiting Rams scored with five minutes to play to tie the Vikings.

Chanel Eliason and Lucy Luevanos scored for Rancho.

Ashley Marra and Aliya Salas had Valley’s goals.

Liberty 3, Basic 3 — At Basic, Anette Pullinen scored her second goal of the match with seven minutes to play to give the host Wolves a tie with the Patriots.

Nikki Mullins added a goal and an assist for Basic.

Alexia Gonzalez, Ari Gonzalez and Nicole Cuce scored for Liberty.

Sunrise Mountain 2, Chaparral 2 — At Chaparral, the visiting Miners scored twice in the final 15 minutes to tie the Cowboys.

Jennifer Gonzalez and Amanda Martin each scored for Sunrise Mountain.

Rosalia Martinez notched two goals for Chaparral.

Canyon Springs 4, Desert Pines 1 — At Canyon Springs, Rosaura Guerrero-Escobedo scored three goals to lead the Pioneers past the Jaguars.

Haleigh Arnold also scored for Canyon Springs, which got two assists from Valeria Perez.

Mariyah Espinoza had Desert Pines’ goal.

Silverado 6, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Rose Covarrubias and Danielle Parden each scored twice to help the Skyhawks to a rout of the Dragons.

Summer Taube and Mikayla Ahlin each added a goal for Silverado.

Goalkeeper Taylor Lommason notched the shutout.
