Roundup: Olivia Packer leads Palo Verde past Desert Oasis

Palo Verde’s Olivia Packer supplied a goal and an assist to lead the Panthers’ girls soccer team to a 3-1 victory over visiting Desert Oasis on Thursday.

Dorian Goodwin and Madison Hernandez also scored for Palo Verde, which got an assist from Sloan Nelson.

Jacey Wood scored on an assist from Georgia Sykes for the Diamondbacks.

Valley 3, Durango 2 — At Valley, Alondra Ysita, Irene Zarate and Daniela Zamudo each scored a goal as the Vikings edged the Trailblazers.

Kenhia Ramirez and Caymbrea Neal each had an assist for Valley.

Nichole Bustamante and Marina Bacon each scored once for Durango.

Virgin Valley 4, Cheyenne 2 — At Cheyenne, Rainee Brito scored twice to power the Bulldogs over the Desert Shields.

Karla Correa had a goal and two assists for Virgin Valley. Madison Cheney had a goal, and Kallie Graves had two assists for the Bulldogs.

Maria Borrero had a goal and an assist for Cheyenne, and teammate Yadira Erives scored a goal.

Faith Lutheran 8, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Amelia McManus scored four goals in the Crusaders’ rout of the Mountain Lions.

Riley Divich had two goals and an assist for Faith Lutheran. Maggie Shuirman had a goal and two assists, and Madison Sonerholm had a goal and an assist.

Naia Mesalic made four saves in to get the shutout.

Legacy 6, Canyon Springs 0 — At Gabriella Lancaster scored five goals as the Longhorns routed the Pioneers.

Angelica Gutierrez scored for Legacy, and Reina Pizana made two saves in the shutout.

Spring Valley 7, Rancho 1 — At Rancho, the Rams rolled over the Grizzlies.
