ROUNDUP: Nunez, Martinez help Wildcats move ahead of Vikings

Alica Nunez and Vanessa Martinez each had a goal and an assist Thursday to help Las Vegas High’s girls soccer team move into second place in the Northeast League with a 3-2 win at Valley.
Mackenzie McCoy also scored for the Wildcats (8-5-3, 7-3-2 Northeast), who have 23 points in league play for a two-point lead over the Vikings with two matches remaining.
Ashley Marra and Aliya Salas notched a goal each for Valley (6-4-3, 6-3-3).
Silverado 2, Tech 1 — At Tech, Laura Covarrubias scored just before time expired to lift the Skyhawks past the Roadrunners.
Danielle Parven also scored for Silverado, which trailed 1-0 at the half.
Rachael Montoya tallied Tech’s goal.
Canyon Springs 1, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Diamond Larson scored with three minutes left as the Pioneers nipped the Miners.
Jazmin Leon made eight saves to earn the shutout.
Green Valley 2, Basic 1 — At Basic, Cassidy McLean scored in the final 10 minutes to lift the Gators past the Wolves.
Jordyn Penniman also scored for Green Valley.
Anette Pullinen scored for Basic.
Coronado 2, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, Breanna McCallum and Gabrielle Morris each scored a goal late in the second half as the Cougars overcame an early 1-0 deficit to top the Falcons.
Jacklyn Perales scored for Foothill.
Chaparral 2, Desert Pines 0 — At Chaparral, Juanita Martinez scored once in each half to help the Cowboys top the Jaguars.
Gilberta Garcia made four saves to earn the shutout.
Liberty 6, Del Sol 0 — At Liberty, Alexia Gonzalez had two goals and an assist, and April Ficarotta added a goal and two assists to power the Patriots past the Dragons.
Sunshine Soriano tallied a goal and an assist, and Danisa Martinez and Sierra Sorensen each had a goal for Liberty.
Lauren Surick and Rebecca Martinez combined on the shutout.
