Roundup: Daniela Carballo scores game-winner for Spring Valley

Spring Valley sophomore Daniela Carballo scored in the final 10 minutes Wednesday afternoon to give the Grizzlies’ girls soccer team a 1-0 road win over Durango.

Sasha Centeno made two saves to preserve the shutout.

Somerset-Sky Pointe 2, Tech 1 — At Somerset-Sky Pointe, Isabella Robins scored two second-half goals to power the Eagles over the Roadrunners.

Analysa Zepeda scored for the Roadrunners, who led 1-0 at halftime.

Sierra Vista 1, Clark 1 — At Clark, Luz Juarez-Mera scored in the 70th minute for the Chargers as they tied the Mountain Lions.

Courtney O’Neal scored Sierra Vista’s goal.

Silverado 0, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Savanna Lopez tallied nine saves for the Skyhawks in a scoreless tie against the Patriots.

Ashley Bongiovanni and Leila McLean split time in goal for Liberty, with each recording a save.

Moapa Valley 3, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, Christie Eriksen scored a hat trick to lead the Pirates past the Eagles.

Madison Manns scored on an assist from Sydney Manns for Boulder City.

Pahrump Valley 4, Cheyenne 2 — At Pahrump, Kaitlyn Carrington and Sydney Dennis each tallied a goal and an assist to pace the Trojans’ win over the Desert Shields.

Grace Gundacker scored twice, and Makayla Gent supplied an assist for Pahrump Valley, which led 2-1 at halftime.

Yadira Erives and Briana Salgado scored a goal apiece for Cheyenne.

Coronado 5, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, Simone Hottentot scored twice to help the Cougars run away from the Falcons.

Makenna Curcuru, Kaitlyn Kowalchuk and Alysa Caso all scored for the Cougars, who netted four goals in the second half.

Amber Vokoun scored for the Falcons.

Bishop Gorman 5, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Taylor Cox and Jacqueline Hillegas each scored two goals to help the Gaels beat the Diamondbacks and clinch the Southwest League title.

Caitlyn Rueca also scored for the Gaels.

Hannah Lee made three saves in Gorman’s shutout.

Green Valley 6, Basic 0 — At Green Valley, Isabel Madrid had two goals, and Jazlynn Hall had two assists in the Gators’ victory over the Wolves.

Nadia Campbell, Mariah Neshkoff, Grace Panik and Lianna Soifua all scored for the Gators.

Ryan Sabol made two saves in Green Valley’s shutout.

Virgin Valley 8, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Kallie Graves and Rainee Brito each supplied two goals and an assist to power the Bulldogs by the Cowboys.

Ally Wright and Madison Cheney each added a goal and an assist for Virgin Valley. Sarah Walters and Alley Shaner also scored for the Bulldogs.
