GIRLS SOCCER: Rodriguez scores four as Desert Shields edge Crusaders

Lesly Rodriguez scored four goals Monday to lift Cheyenne’s girls soccer team to a 4-3 win over visiting Faith Lutheran.

Josie Lourenco had three assists, and goalkeeper Arika Carey made six saves to help preserve the win for the Desert Shields.

Charlotte Vancura had a goal and an assist to lead Faith Lutheran. Kristi Chinn and Dani Tharaldson also scored for the Crusaders.

Desert Oasis 1, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Cienah Reed scored with about 30 seconds to play to give the visiting Diamondbacks the tie with the Spartans.

Jaymee Luke scored Cimarron’s goal.

Bishop Gorman 3, Bonanza 1 — At Bonanza, Daisy Cabrera, Arlie Jones and Corynne McEachern each had a goal to lead the Gaels over the Bengals.

Alexa Brown scored for Bonanza.

Desert Pines 4, Boulder City 0 — At Desert Pines, Mariyah Espinoza had three goals and an assist to lead the Jaguars over the Eagles.

Jeanna Marin also scored for Desert Pines.

Martha Gandarilla made six saves en route to the shutout.

Virgin Valley 7, Chaparral 3 — At Mesquite, Emma Dobenbier scored three goals to lead the Bulldogs past the Cowboys.

Abbie Barnum added two goals and an assist, and Emily Lara and Marlene Quirate each had a goal and an assist for Virgin Valley.

Rosa Martinez scored all three goals for Chaparral.

Centennial 5, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Danielle Farano had two goals and an assist to help the Bulldogs defeat the Longhorns.

Katie Jenne added two goals, and Mikeala Perkins scored once for Centennial.

Pahrump Valley 7, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Sydney Sladek scored six goals to lead the Trojans by the Rattlers.

Paige Chafee added a goal, and Ashlyn Diblasi had two assists for Pahrump.

Kiaya Nauck was in goal for the shutout.

Tech 9, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Abrana Wielgosiak had three goals and an assist to help the Roadrunners rout the Miners.

Melissa Lopez and Adriana Guzma each added two goals for Tech, which led 4-0 at the half.

Estephania Perez and Clarisa Szluha each scored once for the Roadrunners, who got four assists from Alex Guzman. Elena Duenas had the shutout.

Clark 2, Adelson School 0 — At Clark, the Chargers won by forfeit as the Lions didn’t have enough players to field a full team.
