GIRLS SOCCER: Roadrunners remain undefeated in Sunrise League

Yudi Alvarez scored a second-half goal to break a scoreless tie and lift Tech’s girls soccer team to a 1-0 home win over Moapa Valley on Wednesday.

Hannah Fletcher assisted on the goal for the Roadrunners, who remained undefeated in the Sunrise League at 9-0.

Chloe Dody had three saves to notch the shutout.

Green Valley 3, Silverado 0 — At Green Valley, Alexis Kirson had two goals and an assist as the Gators scored three second-half goals to defeat the Skyhawks.

Maggie Bender also scored for the Gators, and Alexa Eastep made eight saves to get the shutout.

Boulder City 3, Chaparral 1 — At Boulder City, Jordyn Trobiani scored two goals, and Madison Manns added a goal as the Eagles topped the Cowboys.

Trinity Oeland and Alexus Pohe each had an assist for Boulder City, which led 2-1 at halftime.

Joanna Diaz scored for Chaparral.

Coronado 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Leili Rosenberg, Caitlin Shannon, and Ariann Sanford each scored a goal as the Cougars blanked the Patriots.

Coronado led 2-0 at halftime.

Sierra Vista 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Isabella Costa had a goal and an assist to lead the Mountain Lions over the Trailblazers.

Courtney O’Neal and Calista Reyes each added a goal for Sierra Vista, which led 1-0 at the half.

Mackenzie Atkins and Jamie Kalaau-Sunia combined on the shutout.

Foothill 5, Basic 0 — At Foothill, Paityn Toohey and Amber Risheg each scored two goals as the Falcons blanked the Wolves

Aqua Williams added a goal for Foothill.

Goalkeeper Natalie Williams got the shutout for the Falcons.

Bishop Gorman 8, Bonanza 1 — At Bonanza, Jaden Terrana had a hat trick, and Tavin Hays and Arlie Jones each had a goal and two assists to help the Gaels rout the Bengals and wrap up the Southwest League title.

Kristina Streuber, Colbi Rohr and Marissa Garcia each scored once for the Gaels, who scored six goals in the second half.

Shayne Dunn scored Bonanza’s goal.

Virgin Valley 5, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Abbie Barnum scored three times to carry the Bulldogs over the Dragons.

Kallie Graves had a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs, and Elizabeth DeLeon also scored.

Kristina Anquiano made three saves to register the shutout.

Desert Oasis 10, Spring Valley 0 — At Desert Oasis, all five of the Diamondbacks’ seniors scored on Senior Night en route to earning the victory over the Grizzlies.

Miah Strellnauer had three goals and two assists, Neva Newling had two goals and two assists, and Gabriella Nevinger had one goal and three assists for Desert Oasis, which also got goals from Cayla Lee, Ashley Wood, Mazeli Rangel and Alyssa Chautla.

Kelsey LeBoeuf and Samantha Gato combined on the shutout.
