GIRLS SOCCER: Margarito’s late goal gives Warriors tie with Liberty

Vanessa Margarito's goal with five seconds to play in the match Friday allowed host Western's girls soccer team to salvage a 2-2 tie against Liberty.

Margarito scored after a free kick by Katherine Realegeno. Ellyson Reynada also scored for the Warriors.

Arianna Gonzalez and McKenzie Sesto scored the for Patriots, who got two assists from Hannah Johnson.

Green Valley 1, Palo Verde 0 — At Green Valley, Alexis Kirson's goal, off an assist by Isabel Madrid, with 25 minutes left in the match lifted the Gators by the Panthers.

Ryan Sabol and Kiyana Lopez combined on the shutout for Green Valley.

Virgin Valley 1, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, Abbie Barnum's goal with a minute to play allowed the Bulldogs to tie the Jaguars.

Lizuly Mireles scored in the first half for Desert Pines.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Moapa Valley 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Miriam Galvez had a goal and two assists to help the Miners down the Pirates.

Yovana Alvidez and Brisa Pena-Martinez also scored for Sunrise Mountain.

Christina Lark was credited with the shutout.

Tech 4, Boulder City 0 — At Heritage Park, Alysia Mestas and Melissa Lopez each had a goal and an assist as the Roadrunners blanked the Eagles.

Veronica Gonzales and Valerie Webb also scored for Tech.

Estephania Perez recorded the shutout.

Arbor View 5, Clark 0 — At Clark, Deja Erickson scored two goals, and Hannah Ferrara added a goal and two assists to power the Aggies by the Chargers.

Allyssa Larkin and Neally Peters also scored for Arbor View, which got two assists from Bailee Davis.

Haylee Niemann made three saves en route to the shutout.

Chaparral 5, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Neshaune Franklin and Leticia Ibarra each scored twice to lead the Cowboys by the Dragons.

Alejandra Ramirez added a goal for Chaparral.

Carolina Nieve was in goal for the shutout.
