GIRLS SOCCER: Garcia nets game-winner to lift Trojans

Yesenia Garcia scored one of her two goals midway through the second half Thursday, breaking a 2-2 tie and lifting host Pahrump Valley’s girls soccer team to a 3-2 win over Cheyenne.

Sydney Dennis also scored for the Trojans.

Stephanie Chinchilla and Mya Heard scored for the Desert Shields.

Valley 1, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Esmerelda Tenorio’s goal midway through the second half lifted the Vikings by the Pioneers.

Ajanique Reece and Fantija Williams combined on the shutout for Valley.

Silverado 1, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas, Danielle Wertzler converted a free kick in the first half to help the Skyhawks nip the Wildcats.

Mikaila Becze was in goal for the shutout.

Spring Valley 2, Mojave 1 — At Mojave, Jozee DeCunzo and Anay Barajas each scored a second-half goal to help the Grizzlies rally from a 1-0 halftime deficit and top the Rattlers.

Eboney Embriz scored for Mojave.

Clark 1, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, the Chargers’ Darian Gambetta and the Spartans’ Jaymee Luke traded first-half goals as the teams played to a tie.

Desert Oasis 0, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, the teams played to a scoreless tie.

Desert Oasis’ Michelle Galez, and Bonanza’s Hayley Gibson each recorded a shutout.

Faith Lutheran 2, Western 0 — At Western, Brenna Rohnkohl scored a pair of first-half goals to lift the Crusaders to the win over the Warriors.

Beka Lescenski was in goal for the shutout.

Arbor View 4, Centennial 1 — At Arbor View, Haley Vicente scored three second-half goals to lead the Aggies by the Bulldogs.

Sierra Vicente also scored for Arbor View.

McKenna Stratton scored for Centennial.

Desert Pines 6, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Mariyah Espinoza and Jeanna Marin each scored two goals to send the Jaguars past the Pirates.

Genessis Martinez and Deisy Lozano also scored for Desert Pines.
