GIRLS SOCCER: Bunker, Schraft help Pirates nip Miners

Bailey Bunker and Alexia Schraft each scored a first-half goal Thursday to lead Moapa Valley’s girls soccer team to a 2-1 win over visiting Sunrise Mountain.

Virgin Valley 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Mesquite, Karla Correa scored twice in the second half, both on assists by goalkeeper Spencer Green, as the Bulldogs defeated the Jaguars.

Marlene Quirarte scored a first-half goal for Virgin Valley.

Green made five saves en route to the shutout.

Chaparral 3, Del Sol 0 — At Chaparral, Leticia Ibarra scored two first-half goals to lead the Cowboys by the Dragons.

Yarely Sandoval also scored for Chaparral.

Deisy Beas made eight saves to get the shutout.

Green Valley 4, Centennial 1 — At Green Valley, Shestan Lynam had a goal and an assist to help the Gators top the Bulldogs.

Jazlyn Hall, Isabel Madrid and Taylor Paulsen also scored for Green Valley.

Kellsey Meechudhone scored for Centennial.

Shadow Ridge 5, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, Madison Garvin scored two goals as the Mustangs downed the Pioneers.

Jessica Beck, Rebekah Randall, and Samantha Villa each added a goal for Shadow Ridge, which got two assists from Taylore Simmons.

Ashley Llanes scored for Canyon Springs.

Silverado 7, Rancho 0 — At Silverado, Francesca Locascio scored twice to lead the Skyhawks by the Rams.

Brynna McGinnis, Melina Amador, Deanna Passerella, Sydney Jenkins and Kristyn Lommason each added a goal for Silverado.

Mikaila Becze recorded the shutout for Silverado.

Desert Oasis 8, Durango 0 — At Durango, Cecily Demille scored three goals, and Cassie Robinson had two goals as the Diamondbacks routed the Trailblazers.

Ana Maria Correa, Gabriella Nevinger and Miah Strellnauer each added a goal for Desert Oasis, which got two assists from Dominique Miranda.

Kelsey LeBoeuf and Kylee Bauer combined on the shutout.

Tech 9, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, Veronica Gonzales had three goals, and Melissa Lopez added two goals and an assist as the Roadrunners routed the Eagles.

Micayla Razo had two goals, and Leslie Santos had a goal and three assists for Tech. Alicia Vega scored, and Kanene Mossiah had two assists for the Roadruners.

Estephania Perez and Lisette Sanchez combined on the shutout.

Cimarron-Memorial 10, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Natasha Martin had four goals, and Jenny Acevedo had five assists as the Spartans blanked the Sundevils.

Yoselin Tovar had two goals, and Jazmin Centeno, Shannon Dominguez and Annalise Esparza each had a goal and an assist for Cimarron, which got a goal from Haylee Nerio.

Nadia Rodriguez was in goal for the shutout.
