Outlook: The Spartans had great results in nonleague play, but struggled a bit in the difficult Northwest League last year.

They’re hoping to show improvement this year.

“A lot of new faces will be on the field for the Spartans this season,” Morales said. “We are looking for some of these newcomers to step up and fill the attacking positions. We will also be moving some of our returners to different positions.

“We are excited about having the opportunity to play some different teams this season.”
