ROUNDUP: Gonzalez scores three, leads Miners to program’s first win

Rudy Gonzalez scored three goals Wednesday — including a tie-breaking marker early in the second half — to lift Sunrise Mountain’s boys soccer team to the program’s first win, a 6-3 victory over visiting Canyon Springs.
Sergio Hernandez and Rafa Barajas each had a goal and an assist for the Miners (1-11-1, 1-9 Northeast). Francisco Santiago also scored for Sunrise Mountain.
Jesus Rodriguez and Eric Ruiz had a goal and an assist apiece for Canyon Springs. Alex Luna also scored for the Pioneers.
Eldorado 3, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Ruben Duran scored all three goals to lead Eldorado past the Rams.
Carlos Jaramillo had two assists for the Sundevils.
Ricardo Sandoval made 11 saves to earn the shutout for Eldorado.
Desert Pines 1, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Ivan Perez scored a second-half goal as the Jaguars tied Desert Pines.
Luis Zavala scored for Chaparral.
Centennial 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, goalkeeper Julien Mihy scored a goal and recorded a shutout for the Bulldogs as they blanked the Spartans 3-0.
Matt Kurtz and Oscar Moran each added a goal for Centennial.
 
Arbor View 2, Cheyenne 2 — At Cheyenne, Jackson Collins and Heber Chavez scored to help the Desert Shields earn a tie with Arbor View.

Faith Lutheran 4, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Wade Norman scored two goals, and Chris Ortwein added three assists as Faith Lutheran downed the Rattlers.
