Roundup: Durango offense explodes in second half in win over Cimarron

Durango’s boys soccer team scored six second-half goals to rally for a 6-3 home win over Cimarron-Memorial on Wednesday afternoon.

William Hailu and Tyson Tesfamariam each scored two goals, and Christopher Hernandez and Jaime Munguia had one goal apiece for Durango, which trailed 2-0 at halftime.

Gustavo Garcia-Reyes recorded a hat track for Cimarron.

Centennial 3, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Jacob Mecham scored twice to power the Bulldogs over the Bengals.

Guillermo Milan also scored for Centennial, which led 2-0 at halftime.

Jacob Mays made six saves to preserve the Bulldogs’ shutout.

Chaparral 2, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Cowboys scored a goal in each half to notch a victory over the Rattlers.

Angelo Grossi and Jonathan Raffta each scored for the Cowboys.

Gerardo Wence recorded one save in the shutout.

Sunrise Mountain 8, Moapa Valley 1 — At Sunrise Mountain, Bryan Martinez had two goals and four assists, and Bryan Garcia-Miranda had one goal and two assists to lead the Miners past the Pirates.

Angel Arreola and Gabriel Herrera each scored twice, and Ricardo Rodriguez had one goal for Sunrise Mountain, which scored six second-half goals.

Bryan Robles scored Moapa Valley’s lone goal.

Las Vegas 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Las Vegas, Sergio Aguayo had eight goals and three assists, and Nathan Zamora had three assists to lead the Wildcats in a rout of the Desert Shields.

Roberto Sotomayor and Luis Peres each had one goal and one assist, and Carlos Sanchez and Albert Arana also scored a goal for Las Vegas, which led 7-0 at halftime.

Angel Benites recorded the shutout with one save.

Shadow Ridge 2, Clark 2 — At Shadow Ridge, the Mustangs and the Chargers played to a draw.

Abraham Dolley and Angel Suarez scored for Clark, while Kyle Casis and Kody Kilea scored for Shadow Ridge.

Western 1, Tech 1 — At Tech, Alan Lopez scored off an assist from Juan Mota with 12 minutes remaining to help the Roadrunners tie the Warriors.

Julio Flores scored Western’s goal.

Del Sol 8, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Pahrump, Oscar Morales-Casimiro had two goals and two assists, and Ismael Veloz added two more goals to lead the Dragons past the Trojans.

Richard Magallon-Escalera and Yerovys Vargas-Gill each had a goal and an assist for Del Sol, which also got one goal apiece from Abdul Aziz-Ahmed and Jose Moreno-Mendez. Daniel Barajas had two assists for the Dragons, who led 5-0 at halftime.

Jalen Denton scored for Pahrump Valley.

Desert Pines 9, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, Joel Sanchez scored four goals, and Erick Santillan added one goal and two assists in the Jaguars’ win over the Eagles.

Brandon Najera had one goal and one assist, and Joseph Musengo, Benjamin Diaz Ramirez and Nestor Vivero each had one goal for Desert Pines.

Hector Zamilpa had two assists for the Jaguars.
