ROUNDUP: Duran delivers knockout punch as Sundevils top Jaguars

Ruben Duran fired in three second-half goals and added an assist Tuesday as Eldorado’s boys soccer team raced to a 5-1 victory over visiting Desert Pines.

Luis Cruz notched two goals and an assist, and Ono Meza supplied two assists for the Sundevils.

Gerardo Romero scored the lone goal for the Jaguars.

Valley 8, Chaparral 0 — At Valley, Julio Borjas tallied two goals and two assists, and Cesar Escobar scored twice to help the Vikings blank the Cowboys.

Eddie Flores and Anthony Grejada each supplied a goal and an assist, and Abel Alverado and Alex Nixon had a goal apiece for the Vikings.

Jesus Barrientos earned the shutout for Valley.

Las Vegas 6, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Las Vegas High, Estevan Benavidez scored two goals as the Wildcats pulled away from the Miners in the second half.

Michael Pedraza, Daniel Nunez, Rafael Barajas and Ervin Hernandez each added a goal for Las Vegas.

Oscar Osuna scored for Sunrise Mountain.

Rancho 2, Canyon Springs 1— At Rancho, Gerardo Lopez and Aaron Ortiz both had a goal and an assist as Rancho held off the Pioneers.

Victor Arciniega supplied the goal for the Pioneers, who had a penalty kick stopped by Rancho goalkeeper Jonathan Amoras in the first half.

Green Valley 3, Liberty 2 — At Green Valley, Mark Ocampo scored a goal and assisted on another as the Gators held off the Patriots.

Brian Baugh and Spencer Tuttle also scored for Green Valley, which led 3-0 at the half.

Adam Musovski and Daniel Musovski scored for Liberty.

Silverado 3, Foothill 1 — At Silverado, Michael Maldonado, Vincent Stokes and Dakota Hallaway each had a goal to lead the Skyhawks past the Falcons.

Christian Narvaez distributed two assists for Silverado.

Max Wheland tallied the Falcons’ goal.

Coronado 4, Del Sol 1 — At Coronado, Jordan Yergensen tallied two goals and two assists to lead the Cougars past the Dragons.

Nick Graham and Jeremy Habibian each scored a goal for Coronado.

Gerardo Aguilar scored for Del Sol.

Tech 9, Basic 1 — At Basic, Rafael Munoz had three goals, and Oscar Velazquez added a goal and three assists as the Roadrunners routed the Wolves.

Fabian Vera notched two goals, and Christian Mojjaro, Edwin Lopez and Erik Gonzalez each supplied a goal for Tech.

Devin Dearing scored Basic’s goal.


Boulder City 5, Moapa Valley 1 — At Overton, Tasja Toumasis scored twice to help lead the Eagles to a win over the Pirates.

Bree Pena, Emilia Oscilowicz and Jeanette McQuillan each added a goal for Boulder City.

Cindy Meyer scored for Moapa Valley.

Virgin Valley 5, Adelson School 0 — At Mesquite, Karson Bryant scored twice as the Bulldogs blanked the Lions.

Samantha Cunningham, Jamie Francis and Emma Dodenbier each added a goal for Virgin Valley.

Cassidy Crandall made three saves and earned a shutout for the Bulldogs.
