ROUNDUP: Chaparral edges Basic in boys soccer

Francisco Sanchez scored in the final three minutes Thursday to lift Chaparral’s boys soccer team to a 1-0 home victory over Basic.

Sanchez, assisted by Jose Zavala, beat Wolves goalkeeper Martin Caballero, who faced 24 shots and made 12 saves.

Anthony Lopez earned the shutout for the Cowboys.

Desert Oasis 3, Liberty 2 — At Liberty, Strahinja Pavlovic capped a second-half comeback by breaking a 2-2 tie with 11 minutes left to lift the Diamondbacks over the Patriots.

Desert Oasis trailed 2-0 at halftime, but got a pair of goals from Jorge Montalvo, who also assisted on Pavlovic’s winner.
Pavlovic assisted on both of Montalvo’s goals.

Bryan Majano and Mario Huerta each scored for Liberty.

Legacy 3, Tech 2 — At Tech, Andrew Salazar scored the winning goal with seven minutes remaining to lift the Longhorns over the Roadrunners.

Julio Uribe had a goal and an assist for Legacy. Christian Rodriguez also scored for the Longhorns.

Jose Guiza had a goal and an assist for Tech. Carlos Martinez also scored the Roadrunners.

Clark 4, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Salvador Bernal scored three goals as the Chargers shut out the Aggies.

Angelo Soro also scored for Arbor View. Omar Magana had five saves to earn the shutout.

Green Valley 1, Durango 0 — At Green Valley, Tim Shue scored the only goal in a match that was called in the 55th minute due to injury.

Durango goalkeeper Matthew Boghos had a tooth knocked out and two other teeth displaced on a loose-ball scramble near the Trailblazers’ net.

Ace Evans and Andrew Hendrickson combined on the shutout for the Gators.

Bishop Gorman 5, Silverado 2 — At Bishop Gorman, the Gaels scored four goals in the second half on the way to the win.

Ramak Roohani scored two goals for Gorman. A.J. Riga, John Vaccaro and Austin Cain also recorded goals for Gaels. Fuzzy

Orellana and Michael Tonnetti each added an assist.

Gary Diego and Devon Diego scored for the Skyhawks.

Faith Lutheran 4, Boulder City 1 — At Boulder City, Ryan Sniezyk scored twice, and the Crusaders built on a 1-0 halftime lead to pull away from the Eagles.

Emeron Ahmed and Chris Ortwein also scored for Faith Lutheran.

Dan Raddant converted on a penalty kick for Boulder City.

Spring Valley 3, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Spring Valley, Mutaz Alghouleh scored two first-half goals to lift the Grizzlies over the Mustangs.

Thomas Ricca added a goal, and goalkeeper John Strand earned the shutout.

Eldorado 9, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, Omar Diaz had three goals as the Sundevils routed the Falcons.

Oscar Fuentes scored twice, and Luis Cruz and Aldo Flores each had a goal and two assists for Eldorado. Moises Ramirez and Isaac

Trujillo also scored for the Sundevils.

Valley 5, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Joey Lopez scored two goals to lead the Vikings past the Desert Shields.

Ivan Chamorro, Julio Vorjas and Rosendo Vorjas also scored for Valley.

Eric Guzman scored for Cheyenne.

Las Vegas 9, Sierra Vista 0 — At Las Vegas, Jaime Toscano had three goals and Joaquin Rivas scored twice to help the Wildcats defeat the Mountain Lions.

Aaron Lopez earned the shutout for Las Vegas. Justin Johnson, Angel Martinez, Michael Boldry and Christian Basurto each added a goal for the Wildcats.

Palo Verde 4, Coronado 0 — At Palo Verde, Josh Leiserowitz scored two goals and Colton McCann got the shutout to lead the Panthers over the Cougars.

Justin Mayorga and Max Amster each added a goal for Palo Verde.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Del Sol 1 — At Del Sol, Diego Zacarias had a goal and an assist to lead the Spartans over the Dragons.
Edgar Navol and Ben Schultz also scored for Cimarron.

Del Sol’s Jose Osorio scored on an assist from Eric Beil.

Centennial 4, Pahrump Valley 2 — At Centennial, Isaac Ramirez had two goals and an assist to help the Bulldogs defeat the Trojans.

Matt Kurtz and Kevin Rogge each added a goal for Centennial. Damien Nelson scored both goals for Pahrump.

Rancho 2, Bonanza 1 — At Rancho, the Rams overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat the Bengals.

Alex Iorlano scored in the first half for Bonanza.

Western 6, Canyon Springs 1 — At Western, the Warriors scored three goals in the first half before pulling away from the Pioneers.
