Bryan Montoya scored the winning goal with a minute to play to give Palo Verde’s boys soccer team a 4-3 win over Foothill in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic at Tech on Thursday.
Foothill led 2-0 at the half before Palo Verde rallied to take a 3-2 lead. The Falcons equalized the score on a penalty kick, setting up Montoya’s winner.
Michael Vogel had two goals and an assist for the Panthers. Ryan Nogues also scored for Palo Verde.
Kapono Maruyama had a goal and an assist to lead Foothill. Isaac Olsen and Colin O’Reilly each added a goal for the Falcons.
Cimarron-Memorial 4, Durango 2 — At Cimarron, Miguel Rubio scored twice to lead the Spartans over the Trailblazers in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.
Gustavo Garcia-Reyes added a goal and two assists, and Diego Zacarias had one goal and an assist for Cimarron.
Marcos Delgado and Christopher Hernandez each had a goal for Durango.
Silverado 4, Clark 2 — At Cimarron, David Matias-Flores provided two goals and an assist to lead the Skyhawks past the Chargers in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.
Angel Ramirez supplied a goal and an assist, and teammate Isaac Allen also scored for Silverado.
Angel Suarez scored twice for Clark.
Western 2, Centennial 1 — At Cimarron, Juan Estrada scored a pair of goals to lead the Warriors past the Bulldogs in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.
Gustavo Sanchez had an assist for Western, which led 1-0 at halftime.
Jordan Kennedy scored for Centennial.
Sierra Vista 3, Show Low (Ariz.) 0 — At Green Valley, Daniel Perez scored two goals, and Justin Prescia had one goal and two assists to lead the Mountain Lions past Show Low in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.
Tanner Erwin also had an assist for Sierra Vista, which led 2-0 at halftime.
Donovan McCree was in goal for the shutout.
Las Vegas 5, Tech 1 — At Tech, Sergio Aguayo had three goals and an assist to lead the Wildcats past the Roadrunners in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.
Anthony Partida and Daniel Rangel also scored for Las Vegas, which led 4-1 at halftime.
Aaron Castro scored for Tech.
Faith Lutheran 3, Spring Creek 0 — At Green Valley, Derek Heinish scored two goals to lead the Crusaders past the Spartans in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.
Gabriel Miranda added a goal and an assist for Faith Lutheran, which led 2-0 at the half.
Landon Amick recorded the shutout.
Spring Valley 1, Legacy 0 — John Goecke scored in the second half to lift the Grizzlies to a victory over the Longhorns.
Ethan Harper and Alejandro Lopez combined for the shutout.
Bonanza 3, Eldorado 0 — The Bengals netted three second-half goals — two from Jonas Bryant and one from Martin Rodriguez-Gutierrez — to coast to a victory over the Sundevils.
Alejandro Tabardillo recorded three saves en route to a shutout.
Pahrump Valley 2, Virgin Valley 2 — At Mesquite, Alvaro Garcia and Danny Ortano each scored a second-half goal for the Trojans to force a tie with the Bulldogs.
Virgin Valley took a 2-0 lead in the first half on an own-goal and a goal by Christian Martinez.
Jose Chavez had two assists for the Trojans.
Adelson School 4, Moapa Valley 2 — At Overton, Ethan Friedman scored two goals to lead the Lions past the Pirates.
Alex Sefia had a goal and an assist, and Caroline Altman scored a goal for Adelson, which scored three goals in the first half.
Zach Bailey and Israel Rubio each scored goals for the Pirates.
Chaparral 3, Arbor View 1 — At Chaparral, Miguel Mendoza scored two second-half goals to help the Cowboys overcome a 1-0 halftime deficit and defeat the Aggies in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.
Alexander Caro also scored for Chaparral, which got assists from Aden Huitron and Bryan Macias.
Liberty 2, Rancho 1 — At Green Valley, Ben Stang scored a pair of goals to lift the Patriots over the Rams in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.
Hayden Prasad had an assist for Liberty.
