ROUNDUP: Barajas, Franco power Wildcats past Dragons

Rafael Barajas and Gilberto Franco each scored two goals Tuesday to lead Las Vegas High’s boys soccer team to a 5-0 win over visiting Del Sol.

Ervin Hernandez also scored for Las Vegas.

Enrique Adame and Alejandro Wence combined on the shutout for the Wildcats.

Eldorado 3, Green Valley 3 — At Green Valley, the Sundevils’ Luiz Cruz and the Gators’ Ivan Rodriguez each scored twice as the teams played to a tie.

Ruben Duran also scored for Eldorado.

Bryan Baugh tallied a goal for Green Valley.

Centennial 4, Western 2 — At Western, Chance Rosa netted two goals to lead the Bulldogs past the Warriors.

Cobi Hunt and Jesus Zacarias each added a goal for Centennial.

Luis Agustin scored for Western, which benefited from an own goal.

Valley 4, Silverado 1 — At Valley, Cesar Escobar had a goal and an assist, and the Vikings scored three goals in the second half to pull away from the Skyhawks.

Julio Borjas and Anthony Grajeda also scored for Valley, which benefited from an own goal.

Christian Narvaez scored for Silverado.

Tech 5, Canyon Springs 1 — At Tech, Salvador Garcia scored two goals to lead the Roadrunners past the Pioneers.

Edwin Lopez and Julio Vargas each had a goal and an assist for Tech. Christian Mojarro also scored for the Roadrunners.

Chris Garcia scored for Canyon Springs.

Sierra Vista 4, Arbor View 1 — At Sierra Vista, Milan Popovic notched a goal and three assists to help carry the Mountain Lions past the Aggies.

Ivan Petrov added a goal and an assist, and Miles McRae and Jorge Echavarria also scored for Sierra Vista.

Toby Cartlidge scored on a penalty kick for Arbor View.

Boulder City 4, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Yann Moncayo scored twice as the Eagles blanked the Patriots.

Daniel Andrades also scored for Boulder City, which benefited from an own goal.

Moapa Valley 3, Basic 2 — At Basic, Dylan Smith scored a goal with five minutes remaining in the match to help the Pirates stun the Wolves.

Arturo Gutierrez added a goal and an assist for Moapa Valley, and teammate Manny Andanen also scored.

Westin Crum had a goal and an assist for Basic, which got a goal from Luis Pinto.

Chaparral 4, The Meadows 2 — At Chaparral, the Cowboys were 4-2 winners over the Mustangs.

Corin Galati had a goal and an assist, and Austin Lee also scored for The Meadows.

GIRLS

Faith Lutheran 4, Boulder City 0 — At Faith Lutheran, the Crusaders got goals from Kendall Pori, Julia Benko, Ashleigh Willaimson and Charlotte Vancura en route to a shutout victory over the Eagles.

Pori also had an assist.

Kelly Zufall recorded the shutout for Faith Lutheran.

Pahrump Valley 17, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Sidney Sladek scored six goals, and Melissa Ewing added three as the Trojans routed the Bulldogs.

Alexis Smith, Courtney Lindsey and Sierra Tucsnak added two goals apiece, and Kristen Young and Janet Garcia supplied a goal apiece for Pahrump.

Moapa Valley 6, Adelson School 2 — At Adelson School, Cindy Mayer scored five goals, and Brandy Thompson added a goal as the Pirates beat the Lions.

Kelsi Slee scored twice on penalty kicks for Adelson School.
