ROUNDUP: Aguirre, Legacy keep Northwest title in sight with win over Spartans

Saul Aguirre notched two goals and an assist Wednesday as Legacy’s boys soccer team moved closer to a potential Northwest League title with a 3-0 win at Cimarron-Memorial.
Miguel Herrera also scored for Legacy, which improved to 12-0-1 record and 37 points in league play, five points ahead of Palo Verde with three matches left.
Ramon Carvajal made four saves to earn the shutout.
Palo Verde 2, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Matt Polster’s goal early in the second half broke a 1-1 tie and lifted the Panthers past the Desert Shields.
Palo Verde also benefited from a first-half own goal.
Jose Manuel Martinez scored for Cheyenne.
Arbor View 2, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Christian Hallstrom made 11 saves, including a stop on a potential game-tying penalty kick, to lead the Aggies past the Mustangs.
Andre Winchell and Michael Snook scored for Arbor View, which clung to a 1-0 lead before tallying the insurance goal with three minutes remaining.
Centennial 3, Mojave 2 — At Mojave, Chance Rosa scored twice, and Erik Christiansen added a goal and two assists as the Bulldogs nipped the Rattlers.
Faustino Ramires and Noe Garcia scored for Mojave, which played the final 50 minutes down a man for a red-card suspension and received a second red card with five minutes remaining.

Bonanza 3, Desert Oasis 0 —
 At Desert Oasis, Giovanni Rodriguez, Sergio Rodriguez and Robert Sagel scored a goal apiece to lead the Bengals past the Diamondbacks.
Kevin Fuentes distributed two assists for Bonanza, and goalkeeper William Sagel earned the shutout.
Durango 3, Clark 2 — At Durango, Paris Estrada scored the winning goal with five minutes remaining to lift the Trailblazers past the Chargers.
Estrada finished with two goals and an assist, and Jose Perez added a goal and an assist for Durango.
Rey Saavedra and Oliver Chavez scored for Clark.
Bishop Gorman 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Gorman, the Gaels used goals by Blake Balelo, Ramak Roohani and Mike Tonetti to blank the Mountain Lions.
Goalkeeper Thomas Olsen made three saves to pick up the shutout for Gorman, which got two assists from Michael Gray.
Western 4, Pahrump Valley 2 — At Pahrump, Nelson Ponce netted two goals, and Joshua Ballard added two assists as the Warriors rallied from a 2-1 halftime deficit to top the Trojans.
Jonathan Sanchez and Jair Perez each added a goal for Western.
Martin Apolimar and Henrik Rudkowski tallied a goal apiece for Pahrump.
GIRLS
Boulder City 4, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Tasja Toumasis tallied two goals and an assist, and Marque Waldo distributed three assists as the Eagles blanked the Pirates.
Devon Dodd and Jena Sillitoe also scored for Boulder City.
Mikaela Stevens and Coral Leon-Wilson combined on the shutout.
