BOYS SOCCER: Tomburo, Crusaders advance to tournament semifinals

Tristan Tomburo had three goals and an assist Friday to lead Faith Lutheran's boys soccer team to an 8-0 win over Holbrook (Ariz.) in the Show Low (Ariz.) tournament.

The win moved the Crusaders into the semifinals at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Conner Frame added two goals, and Harut Khachoyan, Cameron Merrill and Chase Pavlov each scored once for Faith Lutheran.

Phil Starcher got the shutout.

Faith Lutheran 4, Snowflake (Ariz.) 0 — The Crusaders scored three second-half goals to pull away in Friday's opener.

Khachoyan, Pavlov, Sean Kay and Ryan Callen each had a goal for Faith Lutheran.

Starcher and Carter Bishop combined on the shutout.
