BOYS SOCCER: Pablo Pena scores twice as Green Valley tops Faith Lutheran

Pablo Pena scored twice to lead Green Valley’s boys soccer team to a 5-0 victory over Faith Lutheran in the Show Low Invitational in Show Low, Arizona, on Saturday.

Dominic Mesa, Angel Espinoza and Cole Aronson each added a goal for the Gators, who did all of the scoring in the first half.

Jose Vila Barrios had three assists, and goalkeeper Deven Scott had the shutout.

Green Valley 7, Show Low (Ariz.) 2 — At Show Low, Arizona, Estevan Uribe had two goals and three assists as the Gators topped the Cougars in the Show Low Invitational.

Vila Barrios added two goals and two assists, and Aronson scored twice for Green Valley, which scored four times in the second half to pull away.

Mathys Houle also scored, and Mesa had an assist for the Gators.

Blue Ridge (Ariz.) 3, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Show Low, Arizona, the Yellow Jackets scored twice in the first half and shut out the Crusaders in the Show Low Invitational.
