BOYS SOCCER: Gonzalez, Adame send Pioneers past Gators

Gaspar Gonzalez and Ivan Adame each scored two goals Tuesday to lead Canyon Springs’ boys soccer team to a 4-2 home win over Green Valley.

Ricardo Nunez and Jeff Mullins scored for the Gators.

Eldorado 1, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Israel Hernandez’s goal with nine minutes left in the second half lifted the Sundevils by the Cowboys.

Omar Ramirez and Marcos Cuevas combined on the shutout.

Rancho 5, Durango 1 — At Rancho, Yosmar Villafana had two goals and an assist to lead the Rams by the Trailblazers.

Victor Gomez added a goal and an assist, and Francisco Ramirez and Arturo Gutierrez also scored for Rancho, which pulled away from a 1-1 halftime tie.

Yohannes Tesfamariam scored for Durango.

Sunrise Mountain 8, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Raciel Jimenez-Vazquez scored three goals to lead the Miners past the Desert Shields.

Marco Ruiz, Luis Cortez, Jose Arellano, Jorge Molina, and Enrique Pedraza each added a goal for Sunrise Mountain.

Chase Castro scored the lone goal for Cheyenne.

Legacy 2, Western 2 — At Western, Kevin Guardado and Luka Skrinjaric each notched a second-half goal to help the Longhorns tie the Warriors.

Franklin Martinez and Bruno Aleman each scored for Western.

Spring Valley 10, Adelson School 0 — At Spring Valley, Sergio Borboa tallied three goals and two assists, and Tyson Perkins scored three goals as the Grizzlies blanked the Lions.

Dennis Tayou had two goals and an assist, Ethan Orme notched a goal and and an assist, and Miguel Rodriguez supplied a goal and three assists for Spring Valley. Ethan Harper recorded the shutout, notching two saves for the Grizzlies.
