BOYS SOCCER: Gonzales powers Vikings by Bengals

Marco Gonzales had two goals and an assist Friday to lead Valley’s boys soccer team to a 3-1 home win over Bonanza.

Eric Sanchez had a goal and an assist for the Vikings.

Manuel Ponce netted the Bengals’ goal.

Liberty 2, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Joey Holliman had a goal and an assist to lead the Patriots by the Diamondbacks.

Mario Amesquita also scored for Liberty.

Justin Lutes made two saves en route to the shutout.

Faith Lutheran 0, Adelson School 0 — At Adelson School, the Crusaders and Lions played to a scoreless tie.

Adelson School’s Jacob Justiana made 11 saves, and Faith Lutheran’s Chaz Ramsay stopped nine shots.

Tech 1, Coronado 0 — At Coronado, Francisco Garcia’s goal midway through the second half lifted the Roadrunners by the Cougars.

Tyler Harvey recorded the shutout for Tech.

Durango 2, Silverado 1 — At Durango, Sammy Temesgen had a goal and an assist to lead the Trailblazers by the Skyhawks.

Jorge Lorza also scored for Durango.

Manny Jahley scored for Silverado.

Canyon Springs 2, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Canyon Springs, Ivan Adame had a goal and an assist as the Pioneers blanked the Mustangs.

Gaspar Gonzalez also scored for Canyon Springs.

Raymond Ruano made three saves to earn the shutout.

Cimarron-Memorial 2, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Eduardo Renteria scored a first-half goal, and Garrick Quackenbush added a goal with less than two minutes left in the match to lead the Spartans by the Longhorns.

Richard Crews made five saves on his way to a shutout for Cimarron.

Las Vegas 3, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Alexis Barrios had a goal and an assist to help the Wildcats top the Aggies.

Danny Nunez and Efrain Pinal also scored for Las Vegas.

Enrique Adame was in goal for the shutout.

Palo Verde 5, Centennial 0 — At Palo Verde, Griffin Mallas and Nolan Sherwood each had a goal and an assist to help the Panthers top the Bulldogs.

Presten Manthey, Eli Ruffer and Jaden Ketelsen also scored for Palo Verde.

Nishesh Yadav made five saves en route to the shutout.

Green Valley 2, Jerome (Idaho) 1 — At Spring Creek, Jeff Mullins and Connor Malone each scored once to lead the Gators by the Tigers in the Spring Creek Tournament.
