BOYS SOCCER: Duran’s late PK gives Sundevils win over Cougars

Edgar Duran converted a penalty kick with five minutes remaining in the match Monday to lift Eldorado’s boys soccer team to a 2-1 win at Coronado.

Israel Hernandez also scored for the Sundevils.

Justin Lyons scored for the Cougars.

Liberty 8, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Danny Musovski broke the Nevada large-school record for career goals as the Patriots routed the Dragons.

Musovski, who had four goals and an assist, has 125 career goals, surpassing the mark of 123 set by Rancho's James Tate from 1979-82. Musovski also broke his own state record by netting his 44th goal of the season.

Joey Hollimon added three goals and an assist, and Osias Dixon also scored for Liberty, which got three assists from Adam Musovski.

Josh McCollum and Joey Schibetta combined on the shutout.

Green Valley 1, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas, Roberto Rodriguez converted a penalty kick midway through the first half, and the Gators held off the Wildcats.

Bryant Peralta registered the shutout for Green Valley.

Durango 2, Spring Valley 1 — At Spring Valley, Paris Estrada’s goal early in the second half broke a 1-1 tie and gave the Trailblazers the win over the Grizzlies.

Sergio Guzman scored Durango’s first goal.

Daniel Garcia scored for Spring Valley.

Palo Verde 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Matt Thomas netted two goals to lead the Panthers by the Mountain Lions.

Jose Ahumuda also scored for Palo Verde.

Nishesh Yadav was in goal for the shutout.

Valley 4, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, Eric Sanchez scored twice to lead the Vikings past the Skyhawks.

Alejandro Parra and Abraham Ortiz each scored once, and Marco Gonzalez had three assists for Valley.

Erick Morelos had four saves to earn the shutout.

Shadow Ridge 4, Arbor View 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Matthew Camacho scored two goals, and Dominic Damato added a goal and two assists as the Mustangs topped the Aggies.

Blake Damato also scored for Shadow Ridge.

Christian Jaramillo had Arbor View’s goal.

Canyon Springs 6, Rancho 0 — At Canyon Springs, Jonathan Martinez had two goals and an assist, and Daniel Moran scored twice to lead the Pioneers by the Rams.

Gaspar Gonzalez and Jose Gonzalez each added a goal for Canyon Springs, which got three assists from Brian Santa Cruz.

Raymond Ruano made two saves en route to the shutout.

Foothill 8, Basic 1 — At Basic, Robert Cowan scored three goals, and the Falcons pulled away in the second half to rout the Wolves.

Dakota Maack and Mason Reid each scored twice, and Jackson Dietrich added a goal for Foothill, which led 1-0 at the half.

Ismael Carranza scored for Basic.
