Outlook: The defending Class 3A state champions will have plenty of new faces.

Arreola (19 goals, 10 assists) is one of only six returning letter winners for the Miners, who still should be among the top teams in the classification.

“Sunrise will need to fill some key spots from departing seniors, but we have some very promising underclassmen that need to step up,” Mohrbacher said. “It may be a steep learning curve as the season begins, but we expect to be back contending for the region and state crowns again this fall.”
