GOLF: Becker helps Faith Lutheran to narrow win in Sunset League match

Faith Lutheran’s Julia Becker shot 2-over-par 74 on Thursday and the Crusaders edged Clark 349-350 to win a Sunset League match at Mountain Falls.

Clark’s Grace Kang (78) and Sabrina Ho (80) took the next two spots. Faith Lutheran’s Sydney Smith and Clark’s Cassandra Ho tied for fourth at 81.

Pahrump Valley finished third in the team standings at 465, and Mojave shot 552.

Bulldogs top Aggies

At Silverstone, Centennial had four of the top five golfers en route to a 184-249 win over Arbor View.

Centennial’s Kianna Arizmendi shot 3-over-par 39 to earn medalist honors.

Arbor View’s Betsy Branton took second at 46, followed by Centennial teammates Alexis Girardi and Adriana Bartlett at 48.
