GOLF: Gators place four in 70s, roll to Northeast win

Blaise McComb fired a 1-over-par 73 at Anthem on Wednesday to lead four Green Valley golfers in the 70s as the Gators won a Northeast League match with a score of 393.

Las Vegas was second at 467, and no other team broke 500.

Green Valley’s Grayson Savio (77), Jordan Green (78) and Nick Riedy (79) rounded out the top four. Silverado’s Taylor Murray shot 81 to place fifth.

Diamondbacks top Pahrump
At Highland Falls, Niko Gonnella carded a 1-under 71 to earn medalist honors and guide Desert Oasis to a 429-467 victory over Pahrump Valley.

The Diamondbacks’ Sam Tietjen took second with an 84, followed by teammate Joe Bennecke at 85.
