Ender, Panthers lead at midway point of Southern Nevada Invitational

Joe Ender shot a 3-under-par 69 at Southern Highlands on Tuesday to help Palo Verde’s boys golf team grab the lead at the midway point of the Southern Nevada Invitational.

Jack Trent added a 70 for the Panthers, who are at 3-under 285 after the first round and lead second-place Coronado by eight strokes. Bishop Gorman is third in the 10-team field at 298, followed by Arbor View at 313 and Desert Oasis at 325.

Foothill’s Noah MacFawn and Gorman’s Owen Rosebeck also shot 70.

Coronado’s Grant McKay and Shadow Ridge’s Mitchell Stark each shot 71.

Wednesday’s final round begins at 8:30 a.m. at Dragonridge Country Club.
