The junior won the junior-senior race at the Labor Day Classic at Palo Verde, covering the 3.1-mile course in 20 minutes, 12.3 seconds. The Panthers edged Centennial, 28-32, for the team title.

The junior scored seven touchdowns to lead the Patriots to a 76-53 win over Mililani (Hawaii). Dedeaux rushed for 153 yards and four TDs on nine carries, had three catches for 122 yards and two TDs and returned a kickoff 91 yards for another score as Liberty upset the Trojans, who were ranked No. 24 in the nation by USA Today.

The senior running back rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns as the Rams snapped a 30-game losing steak with a 34-14 victory over Valley.

The freshman shot 2-under-par 70 to tie for third place at the Antigua National High School Invitational at McCormick Ranch Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.

ARBOR VIEW — Girls volleyball player Hannah Goddard had a total of 75 kills and 25 aces to help the Aggies open the season with a 7-2 mark. Football player Curtis Jones rushed for 179 yards and three touchdowns and had a 69-yard punt return for a score in a 52-27 win over Legacy.

BONANZA — Running back Deshawn Williams rushed for 243 yards and two touchdowns on 39 carries to lead the Bengals to a 22-7 win over Yucca Valley (Calif.).

BOULDER CITY — Girls golfer Lani Potter shot 4-over-par 76 at Chimera Golf Course to place first in a Sunrise League match.

CENTENNIAL — Boys cross country runner Dominic Roberts won a 3.1-mile race in 17 minutes, 24.4 seconds to lead the Bengals to a win in a Northwest League meet at Floyd Lamb Park. Girls cross country runner Alexis Gourrier placed first in a Northwest League meet at Floyd Lamb Park with a time of 19:22.4.

CIMARRON-MEMORIAL — Girls tennis player Justine Felix went undefeated in singles to lead the Spartans to wins over Desert Oasis and Arbor View. Football player Tyree Riley rushed for 290 yards on 36 carries against Faith Lutheran.

CORONADO — Girls cross country runner Nathan Cromwell won a 2.5-mile race at Foothill in 14 minutes, 14 seconds, leading the Cougars to a first-place finish as a team.

DESERT OASIS — Girls golfer Ashley Malone was the medalist of a Northwest League match at Highland Falls with a 4-over-par 76. Running back Tyshun McClinton rushed for 208 yards and two TDs in a 28-12 win over Durango.

DURANGO — Boys cross country runner Richard Mascarenas finished fourth in a five-team meet at Shadow Ridge with a time of 18 minutes, 28 seconds for 3 miles.

LEGACY — Girls soccer player Brittani Snook had a total of two goals and four assists for the week.

MOJAVE — Girls volleyball player Leilani Limtiaco had nine kills in a 3-0 victory over Chaparral.

PALO VERDE — Boys tennis player Ethan Ballard went 3-0 in doubles to help the Panthers to wins over Legacy and Durango.

SIERRA VISTA — Football palyer Daniel Godfrey ran for 153 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries against Desert Oasis. Girls tennis player Andrada Stancia won her three singles sets 6-0 against Spring Valley.
