Green Valley

The senior set school records in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 50.18 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 52.52 in leading the Gators to a 190-73 victory over Valley.

HEAD OF THE CLASS

ARBOR VIEW — Boys track athlete Nick Sandoval finished seventh in the 400-meter dash and ran on the third-place 800 relay team and fourth-place 1,600 relay teams at the Sunset Region Freshman-Sophomore Championships. Girls track athlete Aelicia Taylor was named the Athlete of the Meet at the Sunset Region Freshman-Sophomore Championships after winning the 100 in 13.13 seconds and the 200 in 26.19.

DESERT OASIS — Girls sprinter Ashle Love set a school record of 13.6 seconds in winning the 100-meter dash and ran the anchor leg of the 800 relay team that set a school record with a time of 1:46.0 in a meet with Silverado and Green Valley. Boys pole vaulter Tyler Stott placed first at the Sunset Region Freshman-Sophomore Championships with a mark of 11 feet, 6 inches.

MOUNTAIN VIEW — Softball player Elle Germany was 7-for-16 with four doubles, eight RBIs and two stolen bases over four games.

PALO VERDE — Girls swimmer Kasdyn Rafie won the 50- and 100-yard freestyles in a 226-56 win over Durango. Boys swimmer Mihail Amiorkov placed first in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke and swam on the winning 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams in a 229-39 victory over Durango.

SIERRA VISTA — Baseball player Justin Rasavage was 7-for-9 with four doubles and two RBIs for the week. Girls track athlete Courtney O’Neal won the long jump and was third in the 100-meter dash at the Sunset Region Freshman-Sophomore Championships.
