Wallace, Saints win at Lincoln to claim first place alone

Travis Wallace rushed for a touchdown and threw a TD pass to Elijah Armstrong to help Mountain View's football team gain sole possession of first place in the Division III Southern League with a 28-12 victory at Lincoln County on Friday night.

Jacob Duldulao and Matthew Larson also ran for TDs for the Saints (8-1, 7-0), who outscored the Lynx (7-2, 6-1) by a score of 14-0 after halftime.

"The defense did a fantastic job shutting a fantastic (Lincoln County) offense down," Mountain View coach Mike Valenzuela said.

Bishop Gorman was crowned the high school football national champion by MaxPreps on Monday, earning the school’s fourth mythical football national title.
