Steel, Eagles slam Trojans

Boulder City's Xavier Steel scored on an 88-yard kickoff return and gained 67 yards on eight carries to lead the Eagles (3-0) to a 33-6 road victory over Pahrump Valley (0-3) on Friday.

Boulder City’s D.J. Koopman rushed for 92 yards on 11 carries, including a 5-yard TD in the second quarter.

Joe Miller passed for 113 yards for Boulder City. He connected with Michael Kelso twice for 58 yards, including a 37-yard TD in the first quarter.

Pahrump Valley’s A.J. Segura completed 6 of 19 passes for 78 yards, including a 12-yard TD to Dalton Beighley in the second quarter.
