Second-quarter burst sends Faith Lutheran past Chargers

Faith Lutheran's football team scored three second-quarter touchdowns Friday on its way to a 35-20 win over visiting Clark.

Keenan Smith had touchdown runs of 34 and 3 yards, and Fabian Lagudi added a 2-yard scoring run in the second quarter to help the Crusaders (5-2, 2-0 Sunset) to their fifth straight win.

Faith Lutheran gained 225 of its 283 yards on the ground, including 164 yards on 18 carries from Smith.

Clark tried to keep pace early, answering Smith’s first scoring run with an 81-yard TD pass from Kareem Warren to Marquice Stuart.

Warren finished with 179 yards passing and 77 yards rushing for Clark (2-4, 0-2).
