Reno wildfires force postponement of Northern 4A games, shift in small schools
Due to wildfires in the Reno area, the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association has changed its football postseason schedule.
The Class 4A Northern Region semifinals, which were scheduled to be played Friday night at Reed High and Carson High, have been postponed until Nov. 21, still at host sites. Friday's Class 4A Sunset and Sunrise Region finals will be played as scheduled.
In addition, the small-school championship games on Saturday have been moved from Damonte Ranch to Fernley.
The Class 1A game will begin at noon, followed by the Class 2A game at 3 p.m. and the Class 3A game at 6 p.m.
