Reed delivers for Del Sol as Dragons run past Valley

Dezerick Reed scored three touchdowns in the second quarter to lead Del Sol (10-1) to a 32-13 home win over Valley (3-8) on Friday.
Reed scored on 15- and 10-yard runs, and caught a 74-yard pass from Troy Miller.
He also recovered a fumble in the quarter.
Reed, who touched the ball on 30 of the Dragons’ 50 plays, had no problem carrying the load for the team.
“I knew this was a big game and I just tried to run as hard as possible,” Reed said. “In these games it’s go hard or go home.”
Reed finished with 138 rushing yards and 78 receiving.
Miller finished with three TDs, including a 17-yard pass to Evan Weinstock on Del Sol’s first drive, and a 25-yarder to Daniel Doph in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.
Garic Wharton had both of Valley’s scores: a 15-yard run in the second quarter, and a third-quarter, 99-yard reception from Wallace Dean to cut Del Sol’s lead to 26-13 going into the fourth.
The Dragons will host Liberty next week. The Patriots handed Del Sol its only loss of the season on Oct. 23.
Del Sol coach Preston Goroff hopes his team will be ready.
“Obviously, they’re a team we’ve seen before, and they got the best of us,” Goroff said. “I think that’s enough motivation.”
