Misipeka rushes for four scores as Skyhawks beat Vikings

Silverado jumped on top early and rolled to a 52-0 road victory over winless Valley on Friday.

The Skyhawks scored 26 first-quarter points and got four rushing touchdowns from running back Keikiokalani Misipeka.

Silverado recovered the game's opening kickoff at the Vikings' 18-yard line after Valley's David Smith couldn't field it cleanly. Misipeka scored three plays later on a 1-yard touchdown run to begin the rout.

The Skyhawks (4-2, 1-0 Northeast League) scored 39 points in the first half and won for the third time in four games. Devion Clayton had five catches for 87 yards and two touchdowns to aid in the effort. His 38-yard touchdown reception midway through the third quarter started the running clock.

Valley (0-6, 0-1) did not cross the 50-yard line in the game, and quarterback Iyen Medlock was taken out of the game twice after taking big hits. Medlock went 2-for-8 for 12 yards and threw two interceptions.
