Micah Gayman, Deomocracy Prep roll past Mountain View

Micah Gayman threw two touchdown passes Saturday and Democracy Prep’s football team rolled to a 56-0 road win over Mountain View.

Ramon Green, Vanell Meeks and Chuck Holiday each added rushing touchdowns for the Blue Knights.

Democracy Prep (1-1) also got a touchdown from its defense when Gary Reece scooped a fumble and returned it 33 yards. The Blue Knights added a special teams touchdown when Elijah Neal blocked Tyrell Brooks’ punt and Kemari Cooper returned it 25 yards for a score.

Four plays into the second half, Brooks, who also plays quarterback for the Saints (0-2), took a vicious hit by several Democracy Prep defenders and was removed from the game.

Already short players from injuries earlier in the game, Mountain View coach Frank DeSantis called the game at the 5:36 mark of the third quarter because of safety concerns as the Saints were down to 11 players.
