Longhorns score 56 unanswered points, rout Crusaders

Legacy (1-1, 1-1 Northwest) scored touchdowns on its first seven possessions and gained 439 yards on the ground in defeating visiting Faith Lutheran (1-1, 1-1) 56-6 on Friday.

Faith Lutheran’s Gino DeGeorge opened the scoring on a 1-yard run, then Legacy took control behind running back D’Andre Hughes, who rushed for 266 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. He scored on runs of 5, 29 and 23 yards.

Jordan Ireland had scoring runs of 50 and 3 yards among his 84 yards, and Quincey Lindsey added 78 yards on nine carries, with two touchdowns.
